Who's the new guy? Dunno yet. You'll have to tune in to find out more about this guy. I may or may not be able to update next weekend. I'm going to visit my brother in happy MSN land this week so I'll be away from my machine. If I get it done before I go out I can upload, but don't hold me to that. I'm pretty busy with stuff.
Otay, I just saw the monkey movie and boy does it stink big smelly monkey turds. It really bites. I think the reason the first monkey movie worked was because it was a statement against the horrors of nuclear war. This current version has no message. It has no consistant plot for that matter.
I understand that this is sort of an OVA for Planet of the Apes, a film based on similar premise but with a different spin. But I don't care. Even accepting that, it sucked. I haven't even seen the first one, but I know it's better than this. Too bad Tim Burton didn't keep editing. This just stinks.
I won't give away the plot because there are still those who will disregard this rant and spend money to see this visual atrocity. But I will beg you, the movie going public, to demand more from your entertainment. Movies these days seem like they are put together by kids with lots of money and very little concept of what the word "plot" actually means. C'mon people, they're getting away with murder! The quality of movies has gone the way of eMpTy V, lots of pretty pictures and very little substance. I beg you to demand more. They've got the freaking money. They can spend it to hire real writters to come up with new stories. I must emphasize NEW! I can't stand these crappy ass remakes. ARGH!!!!!
I can go on for hours like this, but I'm gonna stop so I don't break something. Just be warned, the movies you are about to watch will pretty much all suck. Once you understand that, they may not be so bad. Then again, some are so bad that you want to slap the crap out of your mamma.
